Welcome to the Place Where People Seldom Dwell

Hey Everyone. Well, this is only the front hall of my imagination. There are many many more rooms ranging from the library to the storage closet (but people are rarely allowed in there).

I have no clue what to include in this, so I shall begin with the basics. You can call me Rio. I am 16 years old, but I am a freshman in college. I go to a small college just south of Atlanta, but I hope to be transferring soon; I have no clue where. Presently, I am undecided in my major, but I have been considering a BA in Literature with a concentration in European Lit. or Midevil Lit.

I have dreams of someday becoming a writer, mostly fiction, but maybe some books leaning towards philosophy as well. Right now I have a humble collection of short stories and poetry that continues to grow--however slow the rate may be.

I work at a small Starbucks Coffee store down here in Georgia. I love my job, and, well, hmm, I am good at it!

Music is my forte (pun intended). I love all genres (except country, "lite jazz" and rap), especially new age and U2--yes, they are an entire genre on their own. I also love The Police, Duran Duran, Tears For Fears, INXS and other great eighties bands. I also love classical, celtic, swing, and modern day alternative.

Moving Right Along . . .

I love reading. My favorite author is C.S. Lewis, and most others run a close second. Right now I am reading Twain... great author! I gather any book I can find that talks about Ireland and ancient Celtic culture. I also love political books--satires mostly. OH yeah, and short stories of most kinds are awesome!

One last thing: I am a person who loves quotes--profound thoughts actually--and I ardently collect any that come my way... therefore, by all means, share!
